Existing customers – updating the SDK using our new updater

Please follow this simple video tutorial on how to ensure you are using the current version of the SDK.

Things to note prior to updating your SDK version;

  • This is for users that have downloaded the SDK that contains our new updater. For those customers that have an existing version of the SDK that doesn’t include the automatic updater, please follow the instructions under the next section…
  • For those updating the SDK on the VX1 hardware, you may need to keystone or calibrate the VX1 after this update. Please see our keystoning video on how to do this.
  • The new installer comes with a ‘cut down’ version of the Media folder (as its deployed via the web and we didn’t want to send 10GB of data with the SDK). The Voxon runtime is now in C:\Program Files\Voxon\Voxon\SDK . The new media folder is in C:\Users\Public\Voxon\Media (as it had to be somewhere with user access). You may wish to copy/move your existing media library to this location and replace the one that’s there.

Existing customers (with an older SDK that doesn’t include the updater)

For those who have downloaded an older version of the SDK via a zip folder, we now have an updater that will help enable you have the most current version of the Voxon SDK installed.

  • Prior to downloading latest SDK (using the download button above) please remove the path to old dll before you begin. This can done by simply changing the name of the old SDK folder (which will allow you to keep it as a backup).
  • Then download the new SDK as above and follow the instructions.

  • Please also note the new installer comes with a ‘cut down’ version of the Media folder (as its deployed via the web and we didn’t want to send 10GB of data with the SDK). The Voxon runtime is now in C:\Program Files\Voxon\Voxon\SDK . The new media folder is in C:\Users\Public\Voxon\Media (as it had to be somewhere with user access). You may wish to copy/move your existing media library to this location and replace the one that’s there.
