Creating a 3D Universe

3D simulation of gravitational effects between celestial bodies on a volumetric display

In our last video we played with tiny cubes. This time we decided to simulate the creation of Saturn! All done without the need for glasses or headsets.

Each week we seem to find a new favourite thing to do with a Voxon Photonics VX1 Volumetric Display. This simulation is utterly mesmerising! Each of the 1000 pieces of space debris have their own mass and are attracted to the gravitation pull of the planet which varies according to how we scale it.

Somebody also dropped a Tesla Roadster in when Gavin wasn’t looking lol

What Next?

Perhaps next week we’ll add Ultraleap Leap Motion support so that we can mix up galaxies with our fingers..

We recently created a video of 37 great use cases for the Voxon VX1 display, so if you haven’t seen that yet, then definitely have a look at this video.

If you have any questions about our 3D volumetric display or have ideas on what we should do next, then say hello and contact us here…
